By completing the questionnaire, you’ve taken a first important step toward better oral health for your child.

This personalised Kids Oral Care Ritual will help guide you in managing your kid’s oral hygiene and help your child discover a life-long passion for oral health.

The following ritual will help you get your kids used to – and even enjoy – having their teeth cleaned:

GUM BABY Toothbrushes in 4 colours and 2 jungle buddies

At least twice a day, gently brush their teeth with a soft toothbrush for two minutes.

This eliminates food and plaque from tooth surfaces and from below the gum line. Use a fluoride-enriched toothpaste to strengthen tooth enamel. These fun characters and nice-tasting toothpaste encourage young smilers to enjoy keeping their teeth and gums clean and their mouths fresh. Features like small, non-slip handles and a suction-cup base make brushing easier for your young beginner.

GUM®  KIDS 2-6 Manual Toothbrush - With soft, dome-shaped bristles designed to gently and effectively clean milk teeth, and a non-slip handle for little hands.

GUM KIDS Toothpaste 3+ - A gentle gel toothpaste with an appealing strawberry flavour made from 98% natural ingredients

Everything you need to know

It's crucial to start brushing as soon as their milk teeth appear, typically around 6 months of age. Establish a routine of brushing twice daily, in the morning and before bed.

Kids over the age of 3 should apply a pea-sized amount of toothpaste to their toothbrush. We recommend starting to use fluoride toothpaste no sooner than age 3.

Preventing cavities involves adopting good oral habits early. Encourage brushing at least twice a day for two minutes each time and ensure the products  you use offer fluoride protection. Additionally, limit sugary foods and drinks.

Experts recommend starting dental visits when the first milk teeth appear, ideally by your child’s first birthday. This early introduction helps familiarise your child with the dentist's environment and sets the tone for lifelong oral care habits.

By age three, children typically have enough manual dexterity to start learning how to brush their teeth. Begin by allowing them to demonstrate how they brush, then follow up by brushing their whole mouth afterward until they develop sufficient skills around 6 or 7 years old.

Why do we use the word ritual

It’s because we’re committed to helping your kid adopt an oral care practice that’s not only good for them, but feels good and is enjoyable to do!

You are your child’s first teacher, modelling the way they practise self-care and teaching them habits that will lead to a lifetime of good oral health.

Since toddlers and preschoolers love to do things for themselves, it’s important to encourage independence.

Let them demonstrate how they brush their teeth, then take over to ensure they achieve a complete clean.
